Soaring hearth
Having the passion to take life by the horns
What keeps him from getting discouraged? Life itself! A guy with real guts!
“Christmas 1999: I received a great pair of running shoes. They were given to me because I had always dreamed of one day running with a healthy health. At the time, I had been waiting three months for a heart transplant and I knew just how far I would have to go to make my dream come true. In the summer of 2000, I received the greatest gift in the world: a healthy heart. I was determined to take the first steps (as a healthy 32-year-old man) with my new running shoes, which I still hadn’t worn. After that, they came with me wherever I went—whenever I trained, whenever I went running with my four children, whenever I wanted to push my limits so that I could live longer… While I was waiting for a heart transplant, my 8-year-old son asked me why I never put on my new running shoes. I told him: I will put them on when I have my new engine, and they will be my new high-performance tires. Now, I’m inviting you to join in and share my adventures, as we help you make the most of your life’s journey!”
